Renewal Made Easy
Coach Approach Ministries wants to help all of our coaches practice at the top of their certifications and making the renewal process hassle-free is a part of that!
Below are listed the four certifications (CCLC, ECC, ACC, and PCC) currently associated with our training and the process to renew for each. Please take note that CCLC certifications are renewed through CAM, ECC is considered a lifetime certification and does not require renewal, and ACC/PCC certifications are renewed through your ICF profile on their website.
CCLC – Annual Renewal
Continuing Education Requirements:
- Have completed
- A CAM 500-level course, OR
- Group Mentor Coaching, OR
- Participation in The Coaching Exchange
- OR have completed 6 or more CAM courses
- CAM courses include any 500-level course or GMC.
- Do not include The Coaching Exchange when counting your courses.
- Have completed
- Complete the Online Renewal Form
- Submit the $75 Annual Fee

ECC – No Renewal Required
You’re all set!
Once you are ECC certified, you’re certified for life – no renewal necessary.
ACC – 3 Year Renewal Cycle

To find your credential expiration date, sign into your ICF Profile. Your credential information and access to your renewal application will be found at the very bottom of your profile page under “My Credentials.”
Education Requirements:
- At least 40 hours Continuing Coach Education (CCE) in (3) years since last renewal or initial award. (Triennial cycle)
- At least 24 CCEs in Core Competencies
- At least 3 of these hours must be in Coaching Ethics. These can be obtained by completing ICF’s Complimentary Ethics Course online.
- 10 hours of Mentor Coaching with an eligible Mentor Coach. Must be done over a minimum of 3 months in the three years since the initial award of your credential or since your last credential renewal.
- 16 hours can be in Core Competencies or Resource Development
- At least 24 CCEs in Core Competencies

- Non-Members: $275

For Core Competency CCEs:
- You can earn CCEs by taking any of our 500-Level Courses. Each course is worth 16 Core Competency hours.
- Our Group Mentor Coaching provides the 10 hours of Mentor Coaching required for ACC renewal.
- Join our CAM Community of Coaches. Each monthly Learning Lab you attend is worth 1 Core Competency hour, totaling 12 per year.
- Take an E-Course and pass the quiz at the end to earn Core Competency Hours. Evoking Awareness and Coaching for Growth each provide 4 Core Competency hours.
For Resource Development:
- E-Courses
- Coaching for Growth – 4 CCE Resource Hours (without the quiz)
- Four Assessments Every Coach Can Use – 7 CCE Resource Hours
- Evoking Awareness – 4 CCE Resource Hours (without the quiz)

- Up to 10 hours of Coaching Supervision (giving or receiving) may be used towards the required 40 CCEs for renewal and count as Core Competency credits.
- At least 3 of these hours must be in Coaching Ethics. These can be obtained by completing ICF’s Complimentary Ethics Course online.
- 16 hours can be in Core Competencies or Resource Development
- At least 24 CCEs in Core Competencies

Core Competencies CCEs can be gained through learning opportunities that offer real-time interactive settings, such as education programs, learning courses and other activities that correlate to the ICF Core Competencies and have been approved by ICF for Core Competencies CCEs.
Resource Development is any learning that falls outside of the ICF Core Competencies, but still contributes to a coach’s professional development (e.g., personal development, coaching tools or personality and productivity assessments, business building, etc.)
